The Federation of Jewish Communities and Tolerance Center are launching a joint anti-drug programme.

A joint anti-drug project of the Federation of Jewish Communities and the Tolerance Center of the Jewish Museum will begin in February 2018.


The main purpose of the project is to gather all possible resources for preventing addictions. The project aims to foster and strengthen anti-drug awareness among young people, provide quality professional help for those with addictions and their circle; provide professional development for experts in this field.


The programme has three areas, each area includes several activities planned before the end of 2018:

• Preventing addiction among young people

- Forum Theater My friend is a drug addict - February 26 and 28, 2018.

- Three training sessions Encyclopedia of Independence, the first event - April 2018.

• Events for experts in the social field

- Three training seminars To Hear and Help, the first - on February 28, 2018

- Professional development course Preventing Addictions - four modules starting September 2018.

• An event for relatives of the addicts 

- Two seminars on codependence Mom, you should know this! the first - March 13, 2010. 


Alexander Boroda, president of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Russia, stressed: "This project is very important for the work of the FJCR and the Tolerance Center anti-drug programme, as we understand very well that the success of fighting such terrible phenomena as drug addiction and alcoholism depends greatly on the competent preventive work with young people, as well as on the knowledge of experts and project participants. Uniting our forces and resources, developing close ties and cooperation between like-minded people, different experts and specialized organizations is one of the basic objectives for improving the quality of care for drug-addicts and their family in our country."


All the joint anti-drug programme events will be free of charge.
