Vladimir Sobkin

PhD in Psychology, professor, academic at Russian Academy of Education. Head of the Sociology of Education Center, Institute of Education Management, Russian Academy of Education (IUO RAO). Head of the Information and Analytics Center, Russian Academy of Education.

Professional interests: sociology of education, methods of sociological research, psychology of art, children's, developmental and pedagogical psychology.

Head of the theatrical psychology and education group at the Russian Psychological Society; member of the editorial board of the Questions of Psychology, Issues of Mental Health in Children and Adolescents journals and a number of other professional publications.

By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, he was awarded the Medal of the Order For Merit to the Fatherland of the II degree; in 2008 by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation was awarded the title Honorary Scientist of the Russian Federation. He was awarded the medal In Commemoration of the 850th Anniversary of Moscow (1997),  K. D. Ushinsky medal (1998), award pin Honorary Worker of General Education of the Russian Federation (2003), G. I. Chelpanov medal For Contribution to the Development of Psychological Science (2007), Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Education For Achievements in Science (2008), Medal of the Russian Academy of Education named after V.V. Davydov (2013).

Recipient of the Russian Federation Government award for Education in 2002.
